PREPARATION AND VALETING

Before you take delivery of your Lexus, it has been subjected to a long and comprehensive vehicle preparation.

We carefully inspect the car's overall condition - outside, inside and underneath.

HISTORY AND MILEAGE CHECK

The Vehicle History Check utilises data from many sources including the DVLA, Police National computer, finance companies, ABI, BVRLA, VMC to name but a few.

The Independent Mileage Check is vital as it gives you the confidence that the vehicle mileage has been independently verified.

APPROVED SERVICE HISTORY

All Approved Pre-Owned Lexus vehicles must have a service history that is approved by the Lexus Centre retailing the car.

Any vehicle purchased from a Lexus Centre with Lexus Pre-Owned status may be exchanged for another vehicle at the same Centre. Subject to the terms and conditions

Policy details.

1). Subject to the following terms and conditions, any vehicle purchased from a Lexus Centre ('the Centre') with Lexus Pre-Owned status ('the Vehicle') may be exchanged for another vehicle ('the Replacement Vehicle') at the same Centre, providing that:

(a) the Centre is satisfied that the Customer is a private purchaser (and not a trade purchaser or otherwise).
(b) the Centre is satisfied that, with the exception of fair wear and tear, the Vehicle is in the same condition as at the time of delivery to the Customer.
(c) the Vehicle is returned to the supplying Centre within 30 days of the delivery date.
(d) the Vehicle has covered no more than 1,000 miles since delivery to the Customer.
(e) the Centre is satisfied that the Customer owns the Vehicle and is fully entitled to exchange it under the Agreement.

2). The Customer may choose any vehicle as the replacement vehicle, provided that:

(a) it is readily available at the same Centre, and
(b) it is of an equal or higher value than the original invoice price of the Vehicle.

3). Before any exchange is effected under the Agreement, the Customer shall be responsible for making all the necessary arrangements relating to terminating, transferring, or taking out or otherwise dealing with the financing arrangements for the purchase of the original Vehicle and the Replacement Vehicle. Any exchange shall be subject to the Centre being satisfied with such arrangements. In particular if the original Vehicle is subject to a Hire Purchase Agreement, a new agreement must be completed and the relevant deposits paid by the Customer.

4). Where the Customer has chosen a Replacement Vehicle with a higher price, the price difference must be paid to the Centre before the exchange takes place.

5). The Customer will be responsible for any additional costs resulting from the exchange such as transferring insurance or personalised number plates.

6). This Agreement only applies to the Vehicle purchased. Only one exchange will be considered and this Agreement shall not apply to any Replacement Vehicle.

7). This Agreement does not affect any of the Customer's statutory rights.

ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE AND COVER

Every Approved Pre-Owned Lexus is supplied complete with comprehensive Lexus Roadside Assistance cover for one year.

Every Approved Pre-Owned Lexus is supplied with Lexus Roadside Assistance for one year.

To really set your mind at ease, you can extend this service to include a nominated partner – providing they live at the same address.

Lexus Roadside Assistance includes

Roadside Assistance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, anywhere in the UK (including cover whilst driving or being carried as a passenger in other cars)
European assistance for a maximum duration of 90 days – now available in 44 countries

The Service also includes the following features:

LOST OR BROKEN KEYS
If you lose or break your keys, Lexus Roadside Assistance will arrange for recovery of your vehicle to a local Lexus Centre. You will be responsible, however, for the cost of replacement keys.

REPLACEMENT VEHICLE
A replacement vehicle will be provided free of charge (excluding petrol and other consumables) for up to three days, provided we have taken your vehicle to a Lexus Centre for repairs following a breakdown.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATION
If a replacement vehicle is unavailable, we will arrange a hotel for you and your family for up to £150 per person to a maximum of £500, for one night.

ONWARD TRAVEL
If a replacement vehicle is unavailable and you would like to make your own travel arrangements following a breakdown, we will reimburse the cost of this up to £150 per person, to a maximum of £500.

EUROPEAN TRAVEL
If you travel across Europe your roadside assistance will travel with you, whether you are driving your Lexus or another car.

HOME START
One in four breakdowns happen at the home address. Home Start allows you to enjoy all the benefits of Lexus Roadside Assistance from your home address.

PERSONAL ASSISTANCE
Lexus Roadside Assistance is designed to look after you – not just your vehicle. So even if you are a passenger in someone else’s car you can still receive Lexus Roadside Assistance.

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
If the driver of the car is certified ill, we will take you and your passengers to any single destination in the UK.

Lexus Accident Assistance - 0800 246886:

In the event of a minor or major accident Lexus owners can also take advantage of Lexus Accident Assistance. This includes:

Recovering your vehicle, if immobilised, to a Lexus Approved Accident Repair Centre
Providing any assistance required, including passing on any messages to family, friends or colleagues
Providing a loan car of similar specification (conditions apply)
Providing assistance with administration and the completion of paperwork

If the vehicle has been involved in a major accident.
If the vehicle's structural integrity is impaired.
If the body shell has been replaced.
