Question Time...Got a question? We’ve got the answers.
The Lexus GS is a serious alternative to German executive saloons, and the top-specification hybrids offer great performance. "Top Gear's" review of the Lexus GS states that "It's immaculately put together, and comes with the kind of quality you associate with Audi." Used car performance and prices are on par with Audi, BMW and Mercedes. We would recommend that you contact your local Lexus dealer and arrange to visit the dealership for a further look at the Lexus GS range.
The Lexus IS a four-door saloon that is intended to go toe-to-toe with cars like the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4. The range includes a trio of engines, but the IS 200d is the most obvious candidate in this sector of the market. It features a 2.2-litre diesel and has CO2 emissions of 134g/km. The Lexus GS is a standout car and now closer than ever to the class leaders. The Lexus GS is a sporty genuinely good-looking and fun to drive car. The GS is an all-rounded car with an efficient petrol-electric hybrid drivetrain, which in top-spec guise delivers strong performance. We strongly advise that you contact your local dealer and discuss the difference between the cars.
MPG's for the Lexus GS vary, depending on engine capacity of the model you're interested in. Another key factor for the MPG will be whether you opt for petrol or hybrid. For example, a Lexus GS 450h 3.5 hybrid will return on average 45 MPG combined, compared to a GS 300 3.0 petrol car, will deliver return 29 MPG. We would recommend that you use our Used Vehicle Locator to select the model from the options and view the various used Lexus GS models available and on the Vehicle View pages all the technical specification is listed (even the MPG for the conditions your most likely to drive the car).
There are a number of GS models available for sale. Prices can start from around £9,450, but this changes on a regular basis. We would recommend that in the very first instance you should use our National Used Vehicle Locator, select the GS options you prefer, see which vehicles meet your criteria and contact the relevant dealer for more information, or even book a test drive.
Your budget will probably allow a purchase of either a new or used Lexus GS. The question should probably be, "what features and benefits will I get for my money if I buy a new or used Lexus GS?" Our recommendation would be to allow yourself a few hours, visit your local Lexus dealership and talk through your options. As reported in "What Car" and "This Is Money", Lexus customer care is second to none and our aim is to bring you to the best decision for you.
